About

Welcome to Shane’s Visual Cues!

I’m Shane, and I’m a big fan of movies.  Over the years, I’ve also become increasingly interested in the interpretation of movies, particularly psychological thrillers and films set in dystopian eras, and decided to get into movie reviewing as a hobby.

Over the last few years, I’ve regularly contributed film and album reviews to Musket Press (a quarterly military newsletter), Little Ones’ Club (a quarterly magazine aimed at parents with young children), and Good OL Times (a quarterly newsletter in my church).  I also serve as the current editor of Good OL Times, writing articles, conducting interviews and designing its layout in addition to editorial duties.

Of course, there are several restrictions when you only get to write four times a year for the military, enthusiastic parents and a Catholic congregation, so there’ve been many other views and reviews on films which never found a platform to be published on.  That’s where this blog comes in.

I’d really appreciate feedback on my posts; let me know if I’m talking rubbish or if I make sense.

Happy Reading!
